Mahzani adalah ekspresi kesenian tradisi etnik Minahasa khususnya sub-etnis Tombulu. Sebagai sebuah ekspresi tradisi etnik, mahzani merupakan cerminan identitas dan jati diri masyarakat dalam tradisi Tombulu. Bahwa mahzani tidak hanya memuat keragaman dan kekayaan artistik musikal Tombulu akan tetapi juga mengandung nilai spiritual dan pesan transendental leluhur, serta estetika yang khas dan mendalam, yang kental dengan tradisi Minahasa pada umumnya.
